ABOUT THE COMPANY
Faeton AS started its production activities on the 1st of
April, 1993, when major reorganisation took place in Estiko AS. Independent private
company started in the premises of the former precise mechanics department of Estiko AS.
During the first year mainly the different metal works for daughter companies of Estiko AS
were produced.
In spring, 1994 Faeton AS was the first company to use
powder coating of the metal surfaces in South Estonia. In the beginning there was no big
market for such a service, it was mainly used to better elaborate company’s own
products and to raise their competitiveness.
Soon the success came by manufacturing building
constructions and interior design elements to construction companies. At the same time
subcontracting to Swedish and Finnish companies started, which volume by today has grown
already to app. 35% of the total turnover.
6th birthday of Faeton AS was already celebrated in the new
premises where company is locating also today and where the annex is planned quite soon.
Today the company’s main activity is manufacturing of
metal frames for furniture, show stands, clothes racks for homes and offices, furnishings
for restaurants and offices and many other different complex metal constructions. Powder
coating of company’s own products forms almost half of the volume of the painting
works, second half is the service to different other companies.
Today there are 32 persons working at Faeton AS. Production
facilities of 1400 mē are locating in Tartu, in the easily accessible industrial estate
of Ropka. Turnover in 2007 was
1 180 000 EUR.
